I got to know the temporary tattoos of Inkdays in 2 different ways. I searched for fake tattoos several times via Facebook. Not because I don't dare to get one (I already have 3), but because I first want to know if the place where I want to get my third one is suitable. A temporary tattoo is the perfect answer to that.

This time it was not about the design, but purely to be able to determine the right place for my new tattoo.

After I had chosen the imitation metallic tattoo I had chosen, I was redirected to the ordering process. This was actually very easy. All you have to do is fill in your address details and email address. You can also have this information saved.

2. The delivery: within 2 days my Inkdays tattoo was on the mat

What I definitely want to mention in this review is that my order was really on the doormat on the 2nd day. The tattoos are shipped in a sturdy cardboard envelope. My fake tattoo was wrapped in plastic, but was also covered in a fancy greaseproof paper. In addition, I also received a number of bags with wipes for cleaning the skin with my order. You can use these before applying the temporary tattoo.

Tip!
You don't have to stay home for your order. The envelope fits through the letterbox. It is sturdy enough so that the tattoos do not get damaged or wrinkled.

3. Applying the fake tattoo: actually very simple…

Because I was about to leave for abroad, I took my Inkdays order with me in my suitcase. Once I arrived at the holiday destination, I took the package out again a few days later. The fake tattoos look exactly the same on the sheet as on the website. They are colorful and super well defined.

That is already a plus for me, since this is sometimes different with suppliers of temporary tattoos. The design is then barely distinguishable and looks more like an ink stain. That was certainly not the case with my metallic tattoo. I wanted my fake tattoo on my wrists. A place where I could easily reach myself. I can imagine that you need help when you choose a different place on the body. Such as the back or the shoulders.

I cut out my tattoo and first thoroughly degreased my skin with the included wipes. The procedure is also clearly indicated on the back of the sheet. I placed the tattoo upside down on the skin (with the white side facing up) and then gently but firmly pressed it with a damp cloth. The result? Dazzling!

Because of the shine of my metallic tattoo in the sun, but of course also because of the straight lines. Every piece of tattoo came off the skin effortlessly. And where you have that with some fake tattoos, the temporary tattoos of Inkdays do not leave a sticky feeling.

Use the included wipes to degrease the skin before applying the fake tattoo. This way you are assured of a good adhesion to your skin.

4. Lifespan: be careful with oil and cream

Actually, I already realized after 1 day that my wrist was the place for my new permanent tattoo. But boy did I get compliments. Maybe it was because of the silver tattoo on my tanned skin, but these fake tattoos are so cute! Inkdays states that the tattoos stay beautiful for about 6 days. I didn't have any problems with chafing long sleeves in the warm weather, but I did have problems with sunscreen and oil.

I tried to avoid the tattoo as much as possible, but the salty seawater also detracted from the look. Still, my metallic tattoo stayed for 7 days. Showering was no problem. The fake tattoos are really waterproof. The tattoo did fade in the last 2 days. Luckily I had ordered 2 sets of tattoos.

Tip!
Be careful with greasy substances. Like oil or body lotion. That is important if you want to enjoy the tattoo for a long time. Especially if you know that you can also remove them with wafers.

My conclusion and review about the fake tattoos from Inkdays is actually very positive. Of course, they remain temporary tattoos. So you can't expect the tattoo to stay for weeks. Ordering, delivery and applying was easy. The step-by-step plan and the explanation on the back of the tattoos are also clear. I wasn't very careful with oil and salty seawater. Still, my temporary metallic tattoo stayed beautiful for almost a week.

Thanks to these fake tattoos I know for sure that the place I chose for my permanent tattoo is the right one. Still I will not deny that I will order again soon. They are also too nice for a special occasion or theme party.
