    Inkdays tattoos

Unlike real tattoos that stay permanent, at Inkdays we have designed an ink formula for temporary tattoos that last up to 2 weeks. The vegetable ink, derived from the Gardenia plant, makes it possible to test tattoos in a realistic way. Because the temporary tattoo uses ink, not a sticker, the difference with real tattoos is minimal and the temporary tattoos look just like the real thing.

    Temporary tattoo popularity

Tattoos in general are becoming more and more popular and the taboo that once existed on tattoos has almost completely disappeared. Not everyone is ready to make a permanent decision for a tattoo, which is why you see more and more people getting a temporary tattoo to test a design idea. In addition, people with a temporary tattoo can already get used to the feeling of wearing a tattoo, and whether they want it permanently.

Temporary tattoos allow people to test their creativity without permanent worries. At all sorts of events, from festivals to concerts, people can be found wearing temporary tattoos to make the experience even more unique and special.

It is our job at Inkdays to make the temporary tattoo as realistic and easy as possible so that everyone can experience the feeling of a real tattoo without any consequences.

Almost indistinguishable from the real thing

A common question is: does the temporary tattoo really look realistic?

This is the question that keeps us busy to make the temporary tattoos as realistic as possible. The ink formula that we currently use is the result of this, a temporary tattoo that penetrates the epidermis, develops into a dark color, and lasts up to 2 weeks.

Judge for yourself, take a look at our socials (Instagram / TikTok) and see how many people try on a temporary tattoo and compare them to real (permanent) tattoos.

    Different types of temporary tattoos

Temporary tattoos come in many different shapes and sizes. Many people still remember the fake tattoos from the past that you could easily stick on with a wet cloth. Fortunately, temporary tattoos have developed a lot since then, nowadays there are Metallic tattoos, Glow in the Dark tattoos, Semi-Permanent tattoos, Fake tattoos, etc.

Unlike stick-on tattoos, our temporary tattoos are made of ink that is absorbed into the upper layer of the skin. This means that our temporary tattoo will last up to 2 weeks and will actually look like a permanent tattoo. Standard fake tattoos are simply stuck onto the skin, but this ensures that the tattoo wears off and disappears quickly. A temporary tattoo made of ink does not have this problem because, for example, water cannot affect the tattoo.

    Inkdays vs Henna

Our temporary tattoos are not Henna and work completely differently, three important differences:

    1. Lasts longer

Inkdays temporary tattoos last up to 2 weeks and look good during this time, depending on where you apply the temporary tattoo. Henna gets lighter from the moment you apply it and lasts for a shorter time.

    2. Easy to apply

Temporary tattoos are very easy to apply, a child can do the laundry. You do not need any special knowledge or experience for our temporary tattoo, the process is simple and a step-by-step plan is included with every order. To apply a Henna tattoo you do need knowledge and a fair amount of experience, the removal and drying process are quite challenging and take longer, unlike our temporary tattoos.

    3. Designs

Our ink and printing technique allows us to create many different designs for temporary tattoos. Henna is quite limited to traditional designs because of the way the Henna tattoo has to be applied. Since our temporary tattoo works differently, much more is possible, think of abstract tattoos, animal tattoos, realistic, tribals, 3D designs, etc.

How to apply the temporary tattoo

    1. Remove the transparent protective layer

    2. Place the light gray side against the skin, choose an area with little to no body hair

    3. Press firmly with a damp cloth or sponge

    4. Carefully lift the paper

    5. The temporary tattoo will be colorless

    6. Let the tattoo dry for 60-120 minutes (avoid friction)

    7. The temporary tattoo will develop into a dark color over the next 24 hours

    8. The tattoo will last up to 2 weeks, so choose a nice spot!
